Hello! I'm Rachel Baker!

I am a mom of three children, a pediatric nurse, a social worker, a court-appointed child advocate, a nurse researcher, and now a State Representative. I have spent my career serving others. Over the years, I've developed a love of our community that led me to serve in the Ohio Statehouse!

Like many, I am tired of extremist policies, corruption, and divisive rhetoric. We need to elect leaders who are willing to stand up for what is right. That is why I ran for Ohio State Representative. I work daily to be a voice of reason, integrity, compassion, and true public service.

Since being elected, I have worked with colleagues on both sides of the aisle to accomplish many of the goals I campaigned on. In my first six months, I passed a bill to modernize the adoption process in Ohio. In my first three years, I am proud to have been a primary sponsor of HB452 which signed into law & put standards in place to decrease the risk of workplace violence in healthcare settings, HB141 that creates daycares for children with medical complexities, and HB448 which requires that prescription drug rebates be passed onto patients and not kept by insurance companies or PBMs as profits. I am also proud to have remained involved in our community, hosting community conversations on important issues, attending community council meetings, and delivering cookies to teachers in every public school in the district.

I am the state representative for Ohio House District 27 which includes Indian Hill, Terrace Park, Anderson Township, Newtown, Amberley, Lincoln Heights, Lockland, Madeira, Reading, Silverton, Woodlawn, Wyoming, and parts of Columbia Township, Symmes, and Springfield Township.
