As a proud public school graduate, with three kids in our local public schools, I want to create a future with educated children who are equipped with skills to become productive community members. At the Statehouse and in my community, I have advocated against the unconstitutional funding of public education and have supported teachers as the experts in education curriculum and practices. I strongly oppose bans and censorship in public classrooms, and want to assure that schools teach honest and complete history as well as critical thinking and diverse perspectives. I will additionally advocate for early childhood education, less emphasis on standardized testing, and more focus on child growth and learning.
